Empa is a research institution of the ETH Domain.We are enforcing our research activities in the Automotive Powertrain Technologies Laboratory.The activities of the position include:Reaction and process engineering for the production of synthetic hydrocarbon-based aviation fuels from hydrogen and CO2 in collaboration with research and industrial partners.Planning, execution, and evaluation of experiments for analyzing and understanding the processes involved.Implementation of analytical methods for product analysis and process monitoring.Development of a simulation models for process optimization and upscaling.Detailed assessments for optimizing the process chain as well as the relevant process steps.Joint development of novel processes, components, and materials together with team members and project partners.Scientific publishing in journals and conferences.Our requirements:Master and PhD degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or process engineering (or similar).Interest for upscaling laboratory technologies to the demonstrator level.Interest for collaboration in interdisciplinary scientific and industrial teams.Fluency in English including scientific writing and communication with industry partners.Our offer:Interesting and responsible tasks in the area of applied researchDevelopment possibilities in an important economic and societal fieldContacts to international partners, customers, and suppliersAttractive working conditions of the ETH domain«a» stands for «all» in our job advertisements.
