The headquarters are located in Haag (Switzerland), the production centers in Switzerland, Malaysia, Romania and Taiwan.Our team in Haag, Switzerland is looking for you:Development Engineer – Embedded Systems Architect (100%) YOUR CHALLENGES The manufacturing of a high-end microchip requires over 1000 production steps.  Vacuum valves are considered to be a critical component as they are in proximity to the semiconductor wafer and have impact on the process performance.  Semiconductor fabs like Intel, Samsung or TSMC have increasing expectations to productivity and production yield. These fabs are increasingly using data generated along the manufacturing process to improve production performance.Smart, connected vacuum components are required for smart semiconductor manufacturing fabs enabling predictive maintenance, increasing performance and productivity. To develop the required smart valve technology and next generation of VAT controllers we are looking for an experienced development engineer with passion for embedded systems (HW /FW architecture). In addition your responsibilities are:Lead projects and cross-functional teams in HW/FW development of edge devices and novel applicationsWork on the state-of-art mechatronic control systems including:FW architecture & HW system design of edge devicesSpecification (requirement engineering), coding, verification and  troubleshooting of embedded firmware for edge devicesIndustrialized Coding in C, C++ of features and applicationsAlgorithm verification and validation together with development engineersDefine firmware components, features and algorithms according requirementsDevelop, perform and document test/ results for embedded control systems, focusing on FWYOUR COMPETENCIESEngineering Degree (MSc, PhD) in software engineering, computer sciences or similar Solid track record (5yeras minimum, 10years preferred) in #C programming and/or designing embedded systems with related Development Toolkits including uCs (ARM Cortex, NXP Cold Fire,…), FPGAs (Altera,..) and DSPs. Solid experience in SW/FW architecture for edge devices and requirements engineering (Industrial applications)Experiences with VHDL and Matlab Simulink is desired.
