DescriptionJohnson & Johnson Supply Chain, Technical Operations and Risk, part of the Johnson & Johnson family of companies, is recruiting for Global Import Controls Director, located in Switzerland, Belgium or Ireland, preferably near a J&J site.This role will drive implementation of the Import Controls strategy across the Pharmaceutical and Medical Technology segments in collaboration with partners, including Health Care Compliance, Law and Global Transportation. The role will promote awareness of import rules and ensure implementation of compliance solutions. The Director will also help lead a team of Global Trade Controls professionals operating across a complex regulatory and systems landscape.Key Responsibilities:The scope of the Global Import Controls Director role involves leading workstreams including, but not limited to:Deploys and updates Import enterprise standards in partnership with related compliance functions and regional teamsAdvises segments and functions on existing and emerging Import regulations, including internal and external audit remediation, new filing requirements, valuation and duty preference programsDirects global valuation team to implement cross border valuation controls in close partnership with regional teamsEstablishes, communicates and measures proposed solutions for global Import related data, process and automation initiatives aligned with enterprise strategyActions global scorecards, including incident management, identifying gaps, ensuring remediation and continually improving metricsParticipates in and influences compliance forums across J&J and externallySupervise third party providers, where required Communicates impact of key global Import changesQualificationsEducation:A Bachelor’s Degree is required. A Masters or other Advanced Degree is preferredA minimum of 10 years overall business experience is required, preferably with a focus in Global Trade Compliance, and management of large programsRelevant customs license/ certification, if applicableExperience and Skills:Required:Regulatory knowledge and demonstrated application of import regulations to complex business environmentsDemonstrated ability to implement valuation controls across multiple regionsExperience defining, assessing and measuring country specific regulatory compliance programs against global SOPs and standardsProven track record to deliver complex programs through influence rather than authorityAbility to promote a strategy and motivate change to transform organizations, via strong engagement/communicationPreferred:Experience with Global Trade Management systems and emerging trade compliance solutionsPrior experience implementing import programs in Life Sciences/Health Care industryOther:This position can be located in Switzerland, Belgium or Ireland, preferably near a J&J site, and may require up to 25% domestic and international travelJohnson & Johnson is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
