The position is part of the BU Medical leadership team.YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and execute growth strategy for Medical portfolio, by identifying attractive target segments, planning product innovations and portfolio improvements, developing partnerships with external companies and M&A activitiesMonitor and analyze market dynamics, competition activities and customer needs for Surgical Microscopes and other Imaging devices and its Applications in the Medical BU Portfolio.Define and execute on product roadmap for imaging solutions and services .Owns the product development and life cycle management end-to-end including the management of End-of-Life, Phase-In/Phase-Out (PiPo).Manage the specification and development of respective products as well as maintaining product portfolio throughout the lifecycle aiming to reduce Basic Material Costs (BMC) and increase See Through margin (STM). Enable breakthrough innovations to improve surgeon’s decision making and patient outcomes by cultivating key expert's network, handling research & clinical collaboration projects with customers and external partners, identifying most important market and clinical workflow trends to incorporate into product roadmap. Ensure cross-functional projects are executed on time and according to our internal processesDevelop a cohesive and unified team of Product Managers with common objectives and promote and build a culture of DE&I. Build future leaders and ensure strong succession pipelineThe responsibility will also include the definition and quantification of new business opportunities for the product research & development in combination with internal R&D department as well as external Research Collaboration Partners.YOUR PROFILEDegree in engineering, Medicine / Pharmacy or other human science, physics, science or equivalent technical field, or similar degree with strong focus on software, electronics, imaging hardware> 5 years of experience in the Medical Device industry (preferably but not required in Microsurgery) or other regulated high-tech industries (e.g. Automotive, Aerospace or Military)> 5 years of leadership experience in Product Management or in leading large, cross-functional teams in R&D, RA, Marketing (ideally in medical technology)Very comfortable in a matrix environment and dealing with high level of organizational complexityProficient in English (spoken & written)Knowledge in Strategic Business Planning, Medical imaging technology, Medical Optics, Advanced Visualization, Digital Healthcare, Clinical Applications and Workflow in Neurosurgery, ENT surgery, Plastic & Reconstructive, Extensive market & technology, People and Change Management, Economics and controllingEmbrace our Danaher Business Systems (DBS) Processes and Culture and drive its maturity within the organisation WHAT WE OFFERLearn all about Kaizen, PSP's and Muda as part of our Danaher Business System (DBS) trainings - if you believe in continuous improvement like usIn addition to our internal training program, we also support external training opportunitiesWe support employees in their professional and personal developmentModern virtual work in an exciting international environmentHybrid Job Posting Language:At Leica Microsystems we believe in designing a better, more sustainable workforce.
