In our R&D group, we develop hearing solutions and services for hearing impaired people and hearing care professionals in the form of hearing instruments, accessories, web services, mobile applications and PC software.In a multidisciplinary team of electrical and software engineers, you will contribute to design, development and maintenance of firmware and software components. The developed tools are in use worldwide to support the entire lifecycle of all Sonova hearing instruments and products. From the engineering phases to the mass-manufacturing you will be engaged in delivering highly flexible and reliable firmware and software applications.Your tasksDevelop (specify, implement, verify, document and maintain) the lowest level of the embedded software (C) deployed in Sonova hearing aidsClose-to-metal (C, C++) firmware implementation, testing, bug fixing and documentation of production related componentsContribute in the test process plans, definition and implementation, both in firmware and in the PC software counterpart (C# .NET)Contribute to the specification and design of test devices and systems (hardware and software)Agile software development, code reviews and interdisciplinary collaborationSupport the users of developed componentsSupport for manufacturing engineering and process improvementsYour profileUniversity degree (MSc/BSc) in electrical engineering or computer science3+ years of experience in development, deployment and maintenance of real-time systemsSolid embedded C/C++ knowledge, familiarity with C# and .NET development; Python is a plusSystematic approach to debugging, strong analytical and problem-solving skillsService oriented and willing to support peer developersFluent in English; German is a plusOur offerWe can offer you a new challenge, with interesting tasks and much more – including an open corporate culture, flat hierarchies, support for further training and development, opportunities to take on responsibility, an excellent range of foods, sports and cultural facilities, attractive employment conditions, and flexible working time models in various roles.
