unit Gas Insulated Switchgears (GIS), based in Zürich-Oerlikon, is
active in the development and production of gas insulated switching
systems. We ensure the high reliability of our systems by using
state-of-the-art development tools and methods.Join our team in the
R&D department for gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) as a (Senior)
Engineer Switchgear R&D 80-100% (f/m/d)You will act as the technical
conscience of our GIS product portfolio by being responsible for our
product master data.We offer you a job in a dynamic and agile

work at the intersection of technology, product development and
production of high voltage switchgear. You will work and be integrated
in a team of experts in the field of high voltage switchgear
technologies and thus have the possibility to extend and deepen your
knowledge.Your responsibilitiesManaging of small development
projectsResponsibility for products from our GIS portfolioElaboration
of innovative product solutions following standards, design rules,
guidelines, and internal processes.Ensure quality of suppliers,
production locations and partsCollaborate with globally distributed
partners e.g. R&D Centers, Product Management, Supply Chain
Management, Production Lines, Sales.Analyze and solve
interdisciplinary problems in test laboratories and in production
lines.Your backgroundMechanical engineer, electrical engineer,
physicist or closely related fields with at minimum a Master’s degree
or a Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of experience in a
related fieldApprenticeship as a designer is a plusHigh voltage
switchgear experience is desirable but not a mustAbility to work well
in a multicultural, multidisciplinary and globally distributed
team.Creative, independent and solution-oriented approachSoftware
skills or open to acquiring them (MS Office, 3D CAD, ERP, …)Good
knowledge of English and German
