FW Lead Developer

What you’ll do:The FW Lead Developer will:-    Support and develop the legacy and future Controller FW (and HW) related to the Power Converter System and Batteries (including BMS and other electronics components), EV chargers could be considered in the future-   Establish and contribute to the SW architecture and vision, -   Support technical decision within the Business Unit,-    Support after-sales team and lead system Root Cause Analysis-    Support test when needed (ie grid code testing…)-    Coach and explain Storage System behavior to non-expert people and junior engineers,-   Regularly report technical issues to the management,-    Define (and develop) algorithms for demonstration projects to meet application requirements,-    Fine-tune and validate algorithms for projects,-   Support innovation activities like Micro-Grid, Energy Management System development-    Understand existing Eaton software and hardware for the various elements of a storage solution.-    Lead partner and customer technical meetings if required-    Be an advocate of the Eaton Solution in front of the customer if required,ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: A.    Support legacy and new FW (and HW) DevelopmentB.   Establish and contribute to the SW architecture and vision C.   Understand Eaton existing software and hardware platforms and capabilities around the organization.  Leverage these to contributes to technical solutions selectionsD.    Understand the Eaton SW/FW architectureE.    Be aware of the latest SW/FW technologyF.    Select the right FW/HW architecture (Components, protocols, database…)G.   Participate to Design and Strategy reviewH.    Respects the Eaton good practices and guidelines I.    Provide training and support to our applications, sales teams, and customers where requiredJ.    Present and promote our products in front of the customerK.    Follow industry trends and new technologiesL.    Works on engineering documentationM. Builds test strategies and contributes to validation plan definitionN. Respects Eaton quality processO.    Support After-SalesP.    Act in line with Eaton’s Code of Ethics, Aspirational Goals and Policies, in order to ensure the safety, health and wellness of employees and be active stewards of the environmentQualifications:SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:•    Bachelor or Master degree of electrical or power electronic or embedded FW engineering•    Minimum 10 years of experience on the development of FW/HW for power conversion system, EV chargers or li-ion energy storage systems or similar applications•   Proficiency knowledge of the following technologies is required:  o   C, C++ and Python o    Embedded Linuxo    Strong Electrical background and proven experience. Any topic related electrical physics, power factor, mono versus 3 phase systems is a must and Grid Codes, storage systems and combination of energy systems is highly appreciated•   Fluent in English communication, oral and written.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:•    Need someone curious and up-to-date with FW/HW and Storage technologies.•    High level of exigency expected in order to look at the details.#LI-AO1
