The Role:The Market Access Lead, EMEAC, will play a key role in the
EMEAC (Europe, Mid-East, Australia and Canada) region, as part of the
regional leadership team. Additionally, the role will have a strong
working relationship with the global HEOR organization, leading and
coordinating all activities aimed at building, shaping and expanding
access, achieving reimbursement and institutional channel
commercialisation for Moderna’s new products, working on pipeline
products in Oncology, Auto-Immune and Rare Diseases, with a near-term
focus of Moderna Covid, RSV/Flu and Rare Disease profolio in close
collaboration with R&D strategy, Commercial NPP and Programme
teams.This role will be focussed on working with the European
Commission on pricing strategies for the European Union, partnering
closely with regional and in market Government Affairs & Policy
colleagues, and in market Market Access leads. The Market Access lead
will be responsible to set the LRP, forecast and provide early
programme design and price recommendations and will also drive the
cross functional effort in the commercial organsation and represent
the integrated payer perspective.Here's What You’ll Do:Leading the
early Market Access and Pricing activities for pipeline products in
Oncology, Auto-immune and Rare Diseases with a near-term focus of
Moderna Covid, RSV/Flu and Rare Disease profolio and subsequent
institutional commercializationMonitoring and anticipating the
evolving market access, institutional customer and competitive
landscape and advocating Moderna’s position with respect to Market
Access strategyAct as key point of contact for European Commission on
Market Access and Priciing strategy in the region, partnering with in
market MA&P teams to ensure alignmentDefining of the pricing,
tendering, contracting and life-cycle strategies in close alignment
with global colleaguesEnsuring robust value generation and pricing
practices, protocols and operations to ensure an efficient and
compliant organization. They will work hand in hand with global
functions including Operations, HEOR, Medical Affairs, Regulatory
Affairs and the Brand teams, to ensure the global strategy can be
executed locallyDetermining optimal Value-Based or Market Based
pricing strategies through the application of price setting
methodologies, product label and internal product positioning and
using relevant analytical approaches and knowledge of iinnovative
pricing models and managed entry schemes to address payer
needsGenerating pricing solutions for affordability considerations
(e.g. tiered pricing)Defining and executing Tender shaping
strategiesKey Working Relationships:R&D strategy, Commercial NPP,
Programme teams, HEOR, Country Organizations; Clinical; Public Policy
and Government Affairs, Medical Affairs, Regulatory.Here’s What You’ll
Bring to the Table:QualificationsM.S. / MBA required; advanced degree
in life sciencesExperienceMinimum 10 years of experience in the
bio/pharmaceutical and/or vaccines environmentMinimum 7 years of
experience in Market Access function (with national direct
responsibility for Pricing, Reimbursement, Market Access, or
Policy)Strong Scientific background and understanding and experience
in early pipeline productsExperience in providing TPP, development
plan and market access/early price recommendationsExperience
developing and leading implementation of strategic pricing, tendering,
contracting and negotiation. Experience required in global pricing
