To strengthen our motivated design team, we are looking for a dedicated mechanical design technician with an interest in power electronics. Your knowhow and technical expertise will be key support for divers customer projects.Your responsibilitiesIn your position, you will be responsible for the mechanical engineering and design of power converters, batteries and cooling systemsPrepare fabrication and assembly documentation and maintain product data in PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and SAPPerform validation tests for cooling, strength requirements and IP-protectionYou will also support the production department in the introduction of new products, maintain the product range and implement corrections and improvementsYou are responsible for the creation of specifications and clarification of technical questions with suppliersLast but not least, you will assist the sales department during the concept and quotation phaseYour backgroundYou have successfully completed training in the field of mechanical engineering/design as a technician HF or mechanical engineer FH and are very familiar with CAD/CAE applicationsKnowledge of SAP, Windchill PDM, SolidEdge and Creo is an advantageIdeally, you have know-how in the design of electrical systemsYou are fluent in written and spoken German and EnglishAs a committed team player you convince us with your independent and structured way of workingInitiative, creativity and great attention to detailA collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skillsBenefitsCanteenFlexible work practicesGym membershipMore about usABB Traction is a leader in traction technologies, driving innovation in rail and e-mobility.
