The Health & Wellness and Animal Nutrition R&D teams are present worldwide and focus on developing cutting-edge technological and science-based products. The successful candidate will report to the Health & Wellness R&D director and will be based in Switzerland. The candidate will lead and manage our R&D labs to support our R&D project pipeline and accelerate the discovery and development of innovative and science-based microbiome solutions for pet and monogastric animals which will differentiate ADM on the Pet and Animal Microbiome markets.Your Responsibilities:• Direct the research activities in line with the mission, ensuring relevant, high quality results and timely transfer into commercial success• Ensure appropriate health& safety protection following laboratory and safety instructions and legal regulations• Develop, update and validate SOPs, monitor the quality system, support the LIMS workflow, carry out investigations and address deviations• Identify relevant innovative research challenges with commercial growth potential • Maintain a strong collaboration between departments to optimize operational efficiency, use of resources and project lead times• Organize and participate in customer visits and internal/ regulatory audits.• Monitor technology, policy, legislation and regulatory developments in the region• Build and maintain excellent relations with external and internal partnersYour Profile:•    Strong foundation in microbiome science and its application to Pet & Animal Health: PhD +7 years•   10+ years of laboratory manager experience (including in an industry setting) including managing or supervision responsibilities•   Thorough understanding of technical/scientific field, and of local policy and legislation guidelines•    High organizational and reporting skills, with strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills•    Executive level communication skills•   Exceptional analytical, management and leadership skills•    Dynamic personality, a true team player with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with others in a global context•    PC skills: in depth knowledge of MS Office, LIMS system(s), relevant software tools for data analysis, equipment operations etc.•    Availability to travel up to 20% of the time, Domestic and International  Our Offer:• Challenging tasks, short decision-making processes and a high level of personal responsibility in a modern work environment• Room for innovative thinking and growth with the possibility to manage your own career path.• A company culture which promotes continuous learning, diversity and inclusion.• Excellent career opportunities in a world leading nutrition company. • An attractive remuneration including a variety of social benefits like subsidized health & fitness offers.#IncludingYouDiversity, equity, inclusion and belonging are cornerstones of ADM’s efforts to continue innovating, driving growth, and delivering outstanding performance.
