You lead and drive transformational and CI projects for our production with a focus on process streamlining, automation and digitalization: from proper definition to sustainable implementation.

This position reports toManufacturing Unit ManagerYour responsibilitiesDrive process excellence through continuous improvement by working and partnering with the Production teams to identify improvement areas with a clear focus on standardization, digitalization, automation, cost reduction, safety and quality improvements following the Lean 6 Sigma principles.Lead and execute improvement projects with interdisciplinary teams that deal with operational efficiency, process improvement, technology, growth and compliance that ultimately contribute towards our strategic business targets. Lead the improvement projects through all phases of the project life cycle to completion, including planning, scheduling, budgeting of resources, project controls, risk analysis, reporting, and executing all activities required for each project.Interface and collaborate directly with managers, employees, partners, internal customers, and others to clearly define project requirements and manage expectations.Ensures sustained standardization and development of fails safe solutions within the production and its interfaces to other departments and business units.Fosters the right spirit for effective team working and continuous competence development especially with regards to new products and technologies.Defines the working phase sequence of a new production process in order to achieve the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget. Documents production procedures and defines working instructions and eLearnings.Your backgroundTechnical Bachelor with >2 years professional experienceProven track record in process optimization, process design, continuous improvement, and Project Management in a production environmentStrong analytical, conceptual, business thinkingWide knowledge of change management and lean management/6Sigma methodologies (DMAIC, VSM, 5S, A3 etc)Lean 6 Sigma Green Belt is desirable High customer and solution orientation, paired with a communicative personality and coaching skillsHands-on and problem-solving mentality to challenge the “status quo”Team player with multicultural sensitivity and the ability to lead interdisciplinary teamsStrong communication skills in German and English (both written and spoken) essential More about usABB System Drives is a global supplier of high-power, high-performance drives, drive systems and packages for industrial processes and large infrastructure applications.
