CONTEXTThe Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) and Training Project
Manager supports the Maisons with their RJC certifications and
provides responsible sourcing training. The postholder will divide
her/his time evenly between these two support functions.Regarding the
RJC certifications, most of Richemont’s Maisons, Manufacturing
Competence Centres, and e-commerce businesses are long-standing
members of the Responsible Jewellery Council. The RJC Code of
Practices (CoP) certification is mandatory for all RJC members. The
RJC revises the CoP regularly, and the implications of those revisions
are being addressed at the member level, who needs to implement and/or
revise internal processes and documentation accordingly. In addition,
Richemont’s objective is to make best efforts to have its gold
products to be RJC Chain-of-Custody (CoC) certified. The Richemont
Entities and relevant suppliers must design and implement common
business and technical standards to achieve that goal. In addition,
Richemont aims to influence standards related to responsible sourcing
for precious metals and stones by participating in umbrella
organizations and standards bodies, such as the RJC, but also the
Fédération Horlogère and ISO.Regarding Responsible Sourcing training,
one of the department’s primary missions is to protect the Group’s
reputation. Therefore, Responsible Sourcing sets up procedures for
implementation throughout the Group entities. In particular, the due
diligence process involves different supply chains and requires
further harmonization. The Group's best practices need then to be
passed on through training for internal and external players.HOW WILL
