During the ongoing project, the responsibility for project management, the previously defined laboratory services and the deployment of our employees in this project lies with Eurofins PSS.Job DescriptionAs a Scientist in the R&D Pathogen Safety team, you will play a critical role in designing and conducting virus validation studies and developing virus elimination steps in manufacturing processes. Your responsibilities will include developing experimental study designs, guiding study personnel, preparing GLP study documentation, conducting experimental work, and analyzing and communicating results. Additionally, you will maintain biological systems, perform viral titrations, and use various analytical methods. You will also create technical documents, participate in projects, and maintain records within internal documentation systems. Responsibilities:Design and conduct virus validation studies and develop virus elimination steps in manufacturing processesDevelop experimental study designs in consultation with the supervisorGuide study personnel in conducting virus validation studiesPrepare (GLP) study documentation, including protocols and reportsPlan and conduct experimental work, analyze data, and communicate results in reports or presentationsControl and maintain biological systems, including cell culture work, virus, and cell strain maintenancePerform viral titrations to determine viral titers under L2/S2 (and L3/S3) conditionsConduct various analytical methods, such as protein determinations and pH measurementsOperate complex instruments and process/prep raw dataCollect, prepare, and distribute samples/data in coordination with other departmentsParticipate in local and global projectsCreate and maintain records within internal documentation systemsCreate and revise technical documents, including operating procedures, test/process protocols, and reportsAssist in the procurement of new equipment and systemsMaintain laboratory equipment according to specific quality standards (e.g., GLP)Coordinate availability of materials, solutions, and reagentsQualificationsMaster's degree or doctorate in scientific studiesProficient use of MS OfficePractical performance of complex laboratory experiments using protein purification methodsPreparation of scientific reportsDocumentation of scientific studies Knowledge of cell culture and virological workGxP knowledgeWork experience is an advantage, preferably with cell culture work or microbiological/virological experience.
