Responsibilities

  • Conducting comprehensive market research and due diligence to identify fintech investment opportunities aligned with our mission and investment thesis, evaluating investment proposals, financial statements, pitch decks, and other relevant documentation to assess the growth potential and alignment with our values.
  • Building and maintaining a robust network of industry contacts within the fintech ecosystem, fostering strong relationships with entrepreneurs and co-investors and ultimately building a promising pipeline.
  • Providing active guidance and support to portfolio companies to maximize their growth potential, monitoring and tracking the performance of investments, implementing proactive measures to mitigate risks and ensure alignment with TX Ventures goals.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes within the fintech sector, sharing valuable insights with the team.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of investment processes, risk management frameworks, and reporting systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Preparing and presenting investment deals in TX Ventures investment committee, bringing forward risks and opportunities, and in-depth analysis to allow sound and informed investment decisions.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in Venture Capital and early stage investing, with a successful track record of investments in startups, and Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degrees (MBA, CFA) are preferred but not required.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to conduct financial modeling. Deep knowledge of the fintech ecosystem, emerging technologies, and industry dynamics is a strong plus.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills to pitch investment opportunities, convey complex concepts, and build relationships with entrepreneurs and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to build and nurture relationships with entrepreneurs, co-investors, and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to structure deals that align with our mission and values.
  • Fluency in German is highly desirable, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
