We are seeking a Senior Scientist, Early Scientific Engagement to help develop relationships with clients and broader drug development community in order to engage early and understand their portfolio needs and evolving expectations.Duties will include the following:Finds market intelligence to help team advise on scientific strategy, equipment and regulatory areas.Works with BDDs, marketing, and client-facing staff to position Lab Corp Drug Development as recognized scientific leader.Helps drive external presence through facilitating conference attendance, including podium and poster presentations, and client interactions.Works with marketing to define marketing plan for CTTS.Works with scientists and clients to further scientific expertise / research / scientific publications.Works with the team to support CTTS in all above interactions.Works with Scientific Affairs colleagues and network of stakeholders to help develop a strategic plan to deliver the scientific vision of the organization.Works with the team to interpret the strategy into local actionable deliverables and to produce results per agreed timelines.Works with the team to find areas for growth and development for CTTS and in collaboration with SME’s, help drive growth through client interface, looking for both internal and external opportunities, recommending new technologies and opportunities.Works with the team to identify opportunities to leverage the power of our combined scientific experience and expertise across the enterprise.Engages with clients, has good understanding of our industry and the regulatory landscape.Presents the strategy externally to deliver client-focused solutions.Improves the Lab Corp Drug Development scientific profile through attendance and presentation at Scientific Symposia and Meetings.Develops and leverages relationships with key customer contacts to gain market insight and intelligence and works with team to report on industry trends and direction.Focuses on scientific excellence and delighting clients in all work delivered.Works with the team to ensure the scientific objectivity, credibility and expertise of CTTS.Can serve as subject matter expert and represents Lab Corp Drug Development through publications, presentations, panel discussions, and/or other such engagements.Provide coaching to support staff and encourage external scientific presence and engagement.Operates with ethical standards and supports the scientific objectivity, credibility, and expertise of the team.Education & Experience Required:PhD in relevant scientific discipline, or related field. 1-2 years’ post-doctoral experience within scientific area of expertise. Additional relevant experience may be substituted for education requirements above. Highly skilled in conducting research, data interpretation, and writing reports. Proven track record as Subject Matter Expert Experience performing scientific presentations and preparing scientific publications. Knowledge of clinical laboratory automation, system software, Microsoft applications, and laboratory statistics.Effective communication skills with technical staff, business development staff, peers and clients.Attention to detail and interpretation of scientific data.Demonstrated problem prevention, detection and resolution.Salary US: $88,000-$125,000Benefits: All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
