Startup Investment Manager

We are looking for a mission-aligned and experienced investor, seeking a role with high responsibility in a flexible, international, and welcoming work environment, to supplement our team of investors, entrepreneurs, and operators.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Managing the deal process from start to finish, including sourcing new prospects, running introduction meetings, conducting in-depth financial/technical/strategic analysis, and presenting the prospects to the investment team;
• Assisting with overall deal-flow management;
• Conducting research on markets, technology use cases and industry trends;
• Communicating and integrating day-to-day with the core team to complete key priorities;
• Developing financial and operational models relating to live fundraising scenarios;
• Creating presentation materials for prospects and portfolio companies;
• Supporting with marketing and investor relations

• Experience – You come from a VC background investing in impact startups (climate or health & wellbeing);
• Well networked – You have a strong network of deep-tech impact startups, entrepreneurs, investors, accelerators, supporters and enablers;

• Resourcefulness – You pride yourself on being knowledgeable, resourceful and able to learn complex concepts quickly;
• Prioritization – You have excellent attention to details but can equally focus on what matters most and wait on the rest; you’re great at thoughtfully saying no to others;
• Adaptability – You can triage needs and context-switch quickly and effortlessly;
• Communications – You have excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills;

• Integrity – You demonstrate 100% commitment to the highest ethical standards;
• Attitude – You can “elevate the room” through your work ethic, curiosity, can-do attitude and sense of humor in hectic times;
• Multispoken - Excellent command of English language, additional languages (French, German, Spanish) are a strong plus;
• Academics – you have an MSc in economics, banking, finance, or business administration.
