Together, we are embarking on a journey where each and every one of us, individually and collectively, welcomes and celebrates individual differences.As the Technical Lead for automated test systems and test infrastructure projects in the Traction Division located in Untersiggenthal, Switzerland, you will utilize your expertise in test systems and benches to oversee both software and hardware engineering. Your responsibilities will include clarifying project requirements, conceptualizing solutions, and implementing independent and configurable testing software. Additionally, you will engineer the necessary hardware and optimize test processes to ensure optimal performance.This position reports toR&D Team LeadYour responsibilitiesDevelop automated test systems for traction converters, including hardware and software design, implementation, and testing.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify system requirements, design specifications, and testing criteria.Key decision maker for the transformation to an automated test environment.Optimize existing Testbenches and Power module tester.Maintain existing testing infrastructure.Train new team members in engineering of test infrastructure.Prepare, review, manage, and update documents.Propose improvements to test systems and techniques based on experience and knowledge of trends and equipment.Your backgroundAt least 5 years of experience in the design and development of test systems, preferably in the railway industry.Strong background in electrical engineering, automation, and programming.Proficiency in both German and English is required for this position.Knowledge of traction converter technology and related industry standards.Proficiency in programming languages such as LabVIEW.Experience with data acquisition systems and control systems.A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills.More about usABB Traction is the leading provider of traction technologies, driving innovation in rail and e-mobility.
