We are looking for a talented Data Architect to join our dynamic Data team and help us shape the future of our data architecture. The Data Architect is responsible for defining, governing and evolving the data architecture in business data domains within the Lombard Odier Group. This role ensures that data architectures are aligned with corporate business strategies, solution architecture guidelines and data governance principles. The Data Architect will act as a liaison between the Data Office, IT development and Business teams, providing technical advice, promoting data standards and driving innovation in data technologies. Define a scalable, efficient, and modern data architecture in collaboration with engineers and business teams. Establish data architecture policies, standards, and best practices in assigned data domains. Advise on data modelling, integration models and data architecture best practice. Support data owners and data custodians throughout the data lifecycle, ensuring data traceability and compliance. Contribute to data architecture and governance bodies, supporting data architecture initiatives. Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to provide recommendations. As a Systems & Data Architect (IT&OT) at EthonAI you will engage directly with our customers, help them integrate our software into the local IT&OT systems, using data and analysis to understand their pain points, and leverage your insights to shape the product development. Responsibilities

• Lead the design of enterprise data architectures, including modernization of complex system landscapes (MDM, CRM, ERP, Cloud DWH)
• Architect and oversee implementation of scalable cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake) including data modelling, pipelines, and DevOps
• Design integrated solutions connecting data platforms with AI/GenAI, MDM, and CRM systems
• Guide and mentor teams, set best practices, and ensure high coding quality standards
• Represent the architecture practice in client engagements, events, and partner discussions to strengthen market positioning
• Develop internal expertise and capabilities across Switzerland and global delivery teams

Requirements

• 4+ years experience as a Data Architect with prior hands-on data engineering implementation on major cloud platforms
• Proven ability to make and influence strategic data architecture decisions with senior business and IT stakeholders
• Strong skills in data modelling (conceptual, logical, physical, dimensional, Data Vault) and modern architectures (Lakehouse, Medallion, event-driven)
• Expertise in integration design from multiple sources (ERP, CRM, APIs, databases) and familiarity with ETL/ELT tools
• Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills, with experience managing and coaching teams
• Fluent in English; German  highly preferred
