**Required Skills:**
Software Engineer, Infrastructure Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, operations, infrastructure) to build innovative application experiences
2. Implement custom user interfaces using latest programming techniques and technologies
3. Analyze and optimize code for quality, efficiency, and performance, and provide feedback to peers during code reviews
4. Set direction and goals for teams, lead major initiatives, provide technical guidance and mentorship to peers, and help onboard new team members
5. Architect efficient and scalable systems that drive complex applications
6. Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues, and drive large efforts to reduce technical debt
7. Work on a variety of coding languages and technologies
8. Establish ownership of components, features, or systems with expert end-to-end understanding

The Spectacles team is pushing the boundaries of technology to bring people closer together in the real world. Our fifth-generation Spectacles, powered by Snap OS, showcase how standalone, see-through AR glasses make playing, learning, and working better together.
We're looking for an Augmented Reality Software Engineer to join the Snap Lab team!
**What you'll do:**
+ Design, improve, and support reusable components, interactions, frameworks and SDKs that enable immersive experiences on Snap Spectacles Augmented Reality Glasses
+ Develop components of the operating system powering Spectacles, SnapOS
+ Participate in code and design reviews
+ Interact with design, interactive engineering, and product teams to shape and launch products
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**
+ Experience in one or more object oriented languages like C++, Kotlin or Java
+ Experience in delivering top quality, performant and scalable code with extensive unit / functional testing
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with high attention to detail
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related degree or equivalent practical experience
+ 5+ years of software development experience
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ 7+ years of experience building and shipping high performance code
+ Experience with operating systems, resource-constrained devices and 3d graphics
+ Practice designing SDKs, APIs and Platforms
