**About the Job:**
The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for a Cloud Consultant to join us in Switzerland. In this role, you will work as a subject matter expert in Red Hat's infrastructure and cloud technology. You'll answer questions about best practices around automation, reliability, scalability, maintainability, high availability, and failover setups and lead the on-site delivery and implementation of Red Hat's technology that delivers freedom, flexibility, and outstanding performance. You will gain an understanding of our customers' infrastructures, and business issues and you will make recommendations appropriate to their environments. **What you will do:**
+ Implement automated, containerized cloud application platform solutions with a focus on infrastructure concerns including networking, storage, virtualization, security, logging, monitoring, and high availability and system resilience
+ Serve as a subject matter expert on site, addressing technical, developmental, or strategic IT needs
+ Learn new technologies and apply those concepts to customer needs
+ Adapt to changing customer requirements
+ Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification and design, testing, and deployment of complex open source solutions
+ Respond to incidents, escalations, and exceptions in a professional manner
+ Deliver quality results both on-site and post-engagement that are on time and within the scope of the assigned project, including project journals, status reports, and other standard documentation
**What you will bring:**
+ Prior experience working in a consulting role
+ Good customer-facing skills; ability to present to customers and lead customer interactions
+ Excellent knowledge of infrastructure technologies on a delivery level
+ Experience implementing container technologies in an enterprise setting and with enterprise-wide deployments
+ Knowledge of one or more Red Hat's infrastructure solutions like Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or Ansible Automation Platform
+ Experience onboarding applications and application teams onto cloud or container platforms introducing DevOps, continuous delivery (CD) and application lifecycle management
+ Understanding of the open source community

For our client, a company in the manufacturing industry based in Winterthur, we are looking for a System Engineer IT Infrastructure - Cloud for a permanent role.

Your responsibilities:

  • Engineering, administration and provision of cloud architecture and security (Azure Cloud)
  • Ensuring the operation and further development of the IT and network infrastructure at the headquarters and branches in cooperation with external service providers
  • Managing infrastructure projects and interdisciplinary collaboration on digitization projects
  • Further development of IT governance and IT security based on ISMS and BCM
  • Collaboration in 2nd and 3rd-level support as well as service, incident, problem and change management

Your qualifications:

  • Degree in computer science, business informatics or equivalent training
  • Several years of practical experience in the areas of network, server, client, cloud, storage and backup
  • Comprehensive knowledge of M365, Azure Cloud Architecture & Services, proof through Microsoft certification desired
  • Willingness to take over team management in the future (succession planning)
  • Experience in industrial IT environments is an advantage
  • Enjoyment of constant technological development and innovation
  • Strong communication skills, customer- and service-oriented personality
  • Due to Swiss work permit restrictions, we can only consider applications from Swiss nationals, EU citizens as well as current work-permit holders for Switzerland.

Aufgaben
- Entwicklung und Umsetzung der Cloud-Strategie unter Einhaltung von Governance- und Compliance-Standards
- Architektur, Design und Implementierung sicherer und skalierbarer Cloud-Lösungen mit Fokus auf Microsoft Azure (AWS von Vorteil)
- Sicherstellung von Security- und Compliance-Richtlinien nach Best Practices
- Entwicklung und Umsetzung von Disaster Recovery Strategien, inklusive Backup- und Restore-Prozesse auf Infrastruktur-, Applikations- und Tenant-Level
- Verantwortung für Database Backup & Recovery mit PostgreSQL und Azure SQL Database
- Zusammenarbeit mit DevOps-Teams zur Weiterentwicklung von Infrastructure as Code (IaC) mittels Azure DevOps, Terraform und GitHub
- Optimierung der Cloud-Kosten durch effizientes Ressourcen-Management
- Einsatz von Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Practices, um die Performance und Verfügbarkeit der Cloud-Umgebung sicherzustellen
- Technische Unterstützung bei der Cloud-Adoption innerhalb des Unternehmens
- Optimierung und Hosting von SharePoint SPSE, um eine reibungslose Cloud-Integration sicherzustellen
Profil
- Abgeschlossenes Studium der Informatik oder eine vergleichbare IT Ausbildung mit Schwerpunkt IT Systemtechnik
- Mindestens 5 Jahre Erfahrung in Cloud Engineering oder Cloud Architecture mit Schwerpunkt Microsoft Azure (AWS von Vorteil)
- Fundierte Kenntnisse in Azure-Technologien (AKS, Virtual Networks, Load Balancers, Gateways, VMs, Azure AD)
- Erfahrung mit Infrastructure as Code (IaC), insbesondere mit Terraform, Azure DevOps und GitHub
- Expertise in Kubernetes und Docker für skalierbare Microservices
- Fortgeschrittene Kenntnisse in Disaster Recovery, Backup & Restore Strategien
- Fundierte Erfahrung mit PostgreSQL und Azure SQL Database für sicheres Datenbank-Management
- Tiefgehendes Wissen in Data Encryption und Security Best Practices (z. B. Azure Key Vault, Transparent Data Encryption)
- Erfahrung mit Microsoft Defender for Cloud und modernen Security-Frameworks (Zero Trust)
- Programmierkenntnisse in C# oder vergleichbarer Sprache von Vorteil
- Erfahrung mit agilen Methoden (Scrum Master Zertifizierung von Vorteil)
- Stilsichere Deutschkenntnisse auf C2-Niveau, sehr gute Englischkenntnisse auf mindestens B2-Niveau
