Location: Lonzastrasse, 3930 Visp, SwitzerlandContract duration: 3-4 monthsRequirementsWhat You’ll Do:
Lead and ensure the 24/7 reliability of the manufacturing site's critical IT/OT infrastructure. This includes overseeing all IT infrastructure projects on site, managing systems for production, quality, and supply chain, and maintaining solutions for real-time data collection and plant floor automation.Serve as the primary IT partner for plant operations, bridging the gap between corporate IT and manufacturing technology. Key duties include collaborating with engineering teams on OT integration, overseeing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and ERP integrations, and facilitating support from centralized IT teams for the shop floor.Own the site's cybersecurity, compliance, and service delivery. This involves enforcing security policies (firewalls, endpoint protection, access management), conducting security audits and vulnerability assessments, and driving ITIL-based processes for incident, change, and problem management to ensure strong end-user support.What You Need:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field and 12+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure roles , with at least 3 years in a direct leadership or management capacity.Proven, hands-on experience managing IT infrastructure within a manufacturing or industrial environment, including specific knowledge of supporting OT/ICS environments, industrial protocols, and manufacturing-specific systems like MES.A security-first mindset with practical expertise, demonstrated by experience in implementing and managing security measures such as vulnerability management, patch management, firewalls, and endpoint protection, ensuring regulatory compliance.Strong leadership and people management skills for mentoring a team, conducting performance reviews, and developing skills, combined with excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities to perform in high-pressure, mission-critical production environments.Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills to effectively liaise between technical teams, plant operations, and business leaders, while holding desirable IT certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, MCSE, VMware, ITIL, or CISSP/CISM.BenefitsWhy Join Us:

For our client, a company in the manufacturing industry based in Winterthur, we are looking for a System Engineer IT Infrastructure - Cloud for a permanent role.
Your responsibilities:
- Engineering, administration and provision of cloud architecture and security (Azure Cloud)
- Ensuring the operation and further development of the IT and network infrastructure at the headquarters and branches in cooperation with external service providers
- Managing infrastructure projects and interdisciplinary collaboration on digitization projects
- Further development of IT governance and IT security based on ISMS and BCM
- Collaboration in 2nd and 3rd-level support as well as service, incident, problem and change management
Your qualifications:
- Degree in computer science, business informatics or equivalent training
- Several years of practical experience in the areas of network, server, client, cloud, storage and backup
- Comprehensive knowledge of M365, Azure Cloud Architecture & Services, proof through Microsoft certification desired
- Willingness to take over team management in the future (succession planning)
- Experience in industrial IT environments is an advantage

As a Principal Cloud Architect, you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing next generation accelerated computing and AI solutions on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). You will engage directly with startup to strategic customers, helping them architect and deploy complex HPC and GPU clusters, AI platforms, and intelligent agentic solutions across POC and production environments. You will play a pivotal role in pre-sales technical consulting, solution engineering, and AI transformation strategy.
This is a highly visible and influential role, combining deep technical skills with a consultative approach to support from emerging AI Startups to Fortune 500 customers, develop scalable AI architectures, and contribute to Oracle's strategic vision for cloud and AI adoption.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Architect and deploy large-scale GPU/HPC infrastructure on OCI using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Slurm and Kubernetes.
+ Build automated solutions for cluster provisioning, software deployment, and infrastructure as code.
+ Collaborate with Oracle's largest enterprise customers to define and tailor solutions that meet high-performance compute and AI requirements.
+ Support LLM-based solutions, agentic AI systems, and robotic AI platforms from design through deployment.
+ Act as a trusted technical advisor, guiding customers on best practices, cloud migration strategies, and deployment patterns.
+ Conduct customer training, workshops, and technical deep dives to enable successful cloud adoption.
+ Collaborate cross-functionally with product, support, and engineering to close technical gaps and influence product roadmaps.
+ Develop and share technical assets including competitive differentiators, code samples, demos, blogs, and white papers.
+ Identify and work with key AI Partners to support customer requirements from design to deployments.
**Required Technical Skills**
+ Hands-on expertise with GPU and HPC architecture in cloud and on-prem environments.
+ Proficiency in scripting and automation: Python, Bash, PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible.
+ Experience with cluster managers (SLURM, PBS, Bright), Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
+ Knowledge of RDMA, Infiniband, MPI, and distributed file systems.
+ Core Cloud Native experience
+ Familiarity with AI/ML platforms, large language models (LLMs), and inference serving stacks.
**Business & Leadership Skills**
+ 5+ years in pre-sales, technical consulting, or customer-facing solution architecture.
+ Strong communication and presentation skills for both technical and executive audiences.
+ Passion for working with top-tier customers and partners to deliver innovative cloud solutions.
+ Ability to translate complex technical capabilities into business-aligned strategies.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
+ Demonstrated thought leadership through publications, speaking engagements, or community contributions.
