Role Purpose:
The FP&A Analyst functions as a strategic partner in the management and optimization of financial operations for Genedata AG and its subsidiaries. This position is tasked with providing comprehensive financial insights and analysis to inform business decisions, encompassing budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting. As an integral member of the Genedata Finance Team, the FP&A Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, implementing best practices in financial management, and supporting critical decision-making processes to facilitate business success.
Responsibilities:
+ Prepare the monthly financial consolidation of the 6 Genedata subsidiaries according to USGAAP
+ Prepare the monthly reporting package of Actuals and Forecast including variance analysis and KPI reporting
+ Analyze financial data, identify trends and variances and provide insights to inform decision-making
+ Develop monthly forecasts, yearly budgets and financial models to predict future performance and support strategic planning
+ Conduct ad-hoc analysis and reporting as needed to support specific projects or inquiries
Qualifications & Skills:
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in FP&A, data analysis, controlling or similar role
+ Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Deep knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements, ideally experience in financial consolidation
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in German is a plus
+ Experience with Salesforce and Power BI is a plus

The Financial Analyst focuses on ensuring an accurate US GAAP month-/year-end close, driving manufacturing performance reporting & variance analysis, and acting as a business partner to Plant Operations and Switzerland-based EMEA Supply Chain functions. The role also owns P&L/B/S transparency, monthly estimates/forecasts, cash flow reporting, CAPEX support, and continuous process/system improvements as an SAP (CO/CO-PA) power user, while safeguarding SOX/audit compliance.
- Ensure timely, accurate US GAAP closing in coordination with the accounting shared service.
- Lead manufacturing performance reporting and variance analysis; recommend corrective actions.
- Deliver detailed P&L and balance sheet variance analyses (focus on COGS, inventory, intercompany, opex).
- Prepare the monthly estimate/forecast for the plant and CH-based EMEA Supply Chain; support the annual budget.
- Produce cash flow reporting and short-term cash estimates.
- Support CAPEX business cases and investment tracking (capex vs. opex).
- Serve as SAP CO/CO-PA power user (value flow integrity, incident handling) and drive BI/automation improvements.
- Ensure robust SOX/internal controls and support internal/external audits.
- Handle ad-hoc analysis and information requests from senior stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Business/Finance/Accounting or Swiss Accounting & Controlling qualification.
- 5+ years in plant controlling / supply chain finance / cost controlling (industrial/FMCG bonus).
- Strong SAP skills (ideally CO & CO-PA, value flows) and advanced Excel; OneStream is a plus.
- Process knowledge in B2R and OTC required; P2P advantageous.
- Proven exposure to US GAAP reporting and SOX/internal controls.
- Very good English and good German; strong communication and business partnering skills.
