+ Configure SW applications for the Emerson Controls System DeltaV.
+ Perform internal test and customer acceptance tests of the configured control system (HW and Application SW) in-house and at customer site
+ Provide commissioning and start-up support at customer sites as well as after sales service and training
+ Develop the required technical project documentation
+ Assist the sales organization in demonstrations, presentations and engineering estimates.

+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferred background in Electrical or Process Automation Engineering.
+ Previous experience of working in the Process Automation environment and technical skills in control system hardware and software engineering.
+ Strong skills in DeltaV.
+ Knowledge of some, preferably all, of the following elements: Control system design, Control systems HW cabinet design and assembly, software system design, software implementation, software testing.
+ Strong interpersonal skills along with excellent written and verbal communication skills, tact and diplomacy.
+ Proficiency in both oral and written English and French.
+ Availability to travel occasionally and car driving license.
**Preferred Qualification That Set You Apart:**
+ Previous experience in a matrix organization.
+ Knowledge preferred: GAMP, Batch SW application, Validation and Life Science automation experience, MS-Office Applications.

**Let's Talk about the Role**
As a **Technical Field Advisor** for **Controls,** you manage controls activities on site during the Installation, Commissioning and Maintenance of heavy-duty turbines/equipment (generator or mechanical drive). You will be responsible for reviewing plant engineering documents and P&ID's, troubleshooting of plant systems and equipment, planning, organizing, integrating and direction of resources such as labour, tools and materials.
**How You Will Make a Difference:**
+ Maintain strong safety mindset to assure the executed work reflects the technical requirements within GE safety standards
+ Actively manage controls activities on site during Installation, Commissioning and Maintenance of heavy-duty equipment, PLCs and other GE provided controls systems (MKVIe, MKVI, MKV, .etc.)
+ Read and interpret piping and instrument diagrams (P&ID)
+ Provide timely and accurate internal and external reports
+ Provide expert consultation on complex projects
+ Provide customers with technical direction and support on Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) packaged products
**Special Role Requirements:**
+ Able to travel extensively to and from projects and various field assignments.
+ Willing to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments.
+ Ability to spend considerable time away from home for training and field assignments
**Skills for Success**
You should have extensive Field Engineering Services experience with a solid understanding of Gas Turbine Driver Control Systems and Auxiliary Systems. You will also:
+ Strong computer skills with the ability to understand and implement controls software
+ Have the knowledge and skill to actively support field service activities and be aware of where to seek answers to questions as they arise.
+ Have experience working on successful installations and be trained on Mark VI, Mark Vie, Mark V controls systems
