**The Position**
PTE is the department within Roche's PT - Pharma Technical Operations - that leads Operational Excellence, Digital, and Advanced Analytics capabilities. As part of PTE, Operational Excellence empowers Roche PT teams to achieve their performance goals by cultivating a strong, inclusive, and cross-functional community. We focus on embedding Lean thinking, driving continuous improvement, and thoughtfully advancing Digital and Analytics solutions to deliver tangible business value.

The Global Operational Excellence Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for PTT - our MSAT, Engineering and Sustainability organization - acts as the primary liaison between PTT teams and the global OE strategy and execution. This role drives alignment, leads Lean and continuous improvement initiatives, and fosters a culture of operational excellence across the PTT organization.
**The Opportunity:**
+ Architect: Collaborate with senior management to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities and integrate Operational Excellence (OE) with Digital & Analytics Technologies to create a joint roadmap. Educate and influence senior leaders on using OE/Lean and digital measures to drive outcomes.
+ Catalyst: Support key decision-making, take accountability for improvement plan execution and outcomes, and lead complex improvement initiatives combining OE and Digital methodologies. Monitor performance, promote Lean practices, and identify and address potential roadblocks.
+ Coach: Guide senior and function managers on Lean Leadership, build skills and mindsets across the network, and facilitate a unified digital community.
+ Collaboration & Leadership: Engage PTT Leaders to uncover needs and remove barriers. Align with other PT OE Partners to ensure cohesive, cross-functional solutions. Communicate clearly, foster collaboration, and bring high energy and ownership.
**What You Bring:**
+ MBA, M.Sc., or Bachelor's in a relevant field preferred.
+ Experience in biotech/pharma, chemicals, or process industries.
+ Deep MSAT/Engineering understanding.
+ Proven OE/Lean expertise with strong systemic and analytical thinking.
+ Ability to influence and drive sustainable change across complex stakeholder groups.
+ Leadership strength in both vision and execution, especially in behavioral transformation.
+ Growth mindset, digital fluency, and comfort in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

We are seeking an experienced consultant to join a leading global technology company's Continuous Improvement & Change Enablement team . In this role, you will work with a globally distributed team and partner with diverse business areas including R&D, Operations, PPM, HR, and MarCom. You will play a key role in driving improvement initiatives, coaching Lean Six Sigma projects, and enabling change across the organization, helping to shape strategic programs that support sustainable growth and operational excellence.

Your Tasks
- Coach teams on Lean Six Sigma (L6S) methodologies and recommend suitable tools.
- Lead and deliver cross-functional improvement projects within time, quality, and budget.
- Support R&D, Operations, PPM, HR, and MarCom with change management initiatives.
- Drive the implementation of strategic and tactical initiatives across the organization.
- Identify, promote, and embed new ways of working to improve efficiency and collaboration.
- Collaborate with other Continuous Improvement leaders to:
- Standardize processes, ensure long-term sustainability, share best practices globally
- Contribute to the development and refinement of standards, frameworks, and methodologies.
Requirements
- Experience: At least 5 years in project management, continuous improvement, Lean Six Sigma, coaching, and change management.
- Certification: L6S Green Belt or Black Belt with hands-on application of DMAIC, VSM, and Kaizen.
- Skills:
- Strong change management and facilitation expertise
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities
- Proven ability to navigate and influence within complex, global organizations
- Workstyle:
- Comfortable working across multiple time zone

**The Position**
The **Manufacturing Science & Technology (MSAT) team, part of Sensor & Cartridge (S&C) Operations** , is dedicated to supporting the manufacturing and quality control of **Roche Blood Gas and Electrolyte (BG&E) Sensors and Reagents** **.** These systems are a critical part of first-frontier diagnostics, delivering fast, reliable results in patient-critical settings like the intensive care unit, emergency room, and operating room. We are a dynamic and interdisciplinary team committed to improving product quality and reducing manufacturing costs.
We are seeking a highly motivated intern to join our team in Rotkreuz, Switzerland. In this role, you will be a key contributor to our Process Improvement initiatives within BG&E operations. Your work will involve analyzing production processes to identify opportunities for optimization, as well as evaluating existing improvement ideas and helping to drive their further development.
As an MSAT intern, you will gain hands-on experience in the medical device industry by contributing to several critical process management tasks. Your work will directly impact our ability to produce life-saving diagnostic systems.
**The Opportunity**
Your responsibilities will include:
+ **Document Management** : Creating and managing GxP-compliant documents, such as manufacturing and QC process documentation and work instructions, with a focus on integrating sustainability into documentation practices.
+ **Risk Analysis:** Supporting process risk analyses (pFMEA) by preparing inputs, documenting outcomes, and assisting the team in identifying risks.
+ **Change Management:** Supporting change management processes and ensuring all changes are documented, reviewed, and implemented according to regulatory and audit requirements.
+ **Knowledge Documentation:** Ensuring project knowledge is well-documented in Wiki articles for easy access and retention.
+ **Process Improvement** : Within the PI team, your responsibilities will include analyzing production processes and associated data from various angles, such as manufacturing costs, yield experiments, or QC analytics. You will then report your findings and conclusions based on this analysis. You will also contribute to the development of new and existing ideas for process improvements, helping to shape them according to Lean Manufacturing principles and to implement them according to GxP.
**Who You Are**
+ You are an ideal candidate if you are a current Bachelor or Master student or you have graduated within 12 months prior to the start date in **life sciences, natural sciences, chemistry, process engineering, biotechnology, applied informatics, or a related field**
+ You are curious, eager to learn, and passionate about new technologies and manufacturing processes and interested in new technologies and manufacturing processes
+ You think strategically and set concrete objectives with an entrepreneurial mindset showing excellent timeline ownership
+ You have an eye for details and value precise documentation in alignment with current GDP/GMP (Good Documentation & Manufacturing Practice) guidelines. You are aware that the highly regulated environment of the medical sector requires management processes such as Change Management in order to stay compliant and do not find this formal aspect of the work boring
+ **You are proficient in both English and German**

This position is not suitable for a Bachelor or Master thesis!
