- Create, configure, and maintain databases for development, testing, education, and production on various Unix/Linux platforms.
- Perform capacity planning and ensure optimal database performance through ongoing tuning.
- Install, configure, and evaluate new versions of Oracle RDBMS, tools, and related database access solutions.
- Plan and execute backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data integrity.
- Manage and control migrations of programs, database changes, reference data, and menu updates across the development lifecycle.
- Implement and enforce security best practices across all Oracle databases.
- Conduct database reorganizations to enhance performance and ensure high availability.
- Establish and maintain standards for secure, high-performance application design and code.
- Support and lead migration projects from on-premises solutions to Oracle Cloud or other cloud platforms.
- Provide technical expertise and support to application development teams.
- Perform impact analysis for changes to database structures and troubleshoot complex database/application issues.
- Maintain accurate and audit-ready support documentation.
- Define infrastructure components in Terraform for Oracle OCI, AWS, Azure, and private cloud environments.
- Drive continuous improvement through automation, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.
- Oversee setup, monitoring, and maintenance of systems delivering the client's services.
Mandatory Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of proven Oracle DBA experience.
- Hands-on expertise in Oracle Cloud (OCI) environments.
- Strong background in deploying and managing Oracle databases in Unix systems.
- Proficient in shell scripting.
- Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Ansible, Terraform, Git).
- Solid experience in CI/CD pipelines and workflows.
- Proven track record in migrating from on-premises solutions to cloud platforms.
- Fluent in English, Ialian is a strong plus
- Being eligible for a Swiss working permit (eg. Swiss/EU Citizenship or valid working permit)
Nice to Have
- MSSQL or PostgreSQL DBA experience.
- Exadata and RAC expertise.
- Oracle APEX experience.
- Advanced coding capabilities.
- DevOps background.
- Proficiency with Ansible.

Database Administrator (80-100%)
Within the Technology & Infrastructure department, you will join Lombard Odier's Database team, which is responsible for managing more than 450 Oracle instances and 200 MSSQL, Mongo and PostgreSQL servers.
YOUR ROLE
Ensure an excellent level of service for the database infrastructure in terms of availability, performance and security;
Manage and participate in database infrastructure development projects;
Ensure the smooth operation and development of databases and the data warehouse;
Monitor the database infrastructure and investigate in the event of failures and/or performance issues;
Provide technical and operational support to the various teams (production, testing, application support) and 24/7 on-call support for incidents in production and UAT environments.
YOUR PROFILE
Higher education in IT, telecommunications or a similar field;
Minimum 5 years' experience in managing Oracle and/or MSSQL, MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases;
Knowledge of high availability (Dataguard and AlwaysOn) is considered a plus;
Knowledge of Unix Shell and Windows Powershell scripting;
Serious,proactive, motivated, open-minded, highly adaptable and a strong team player;
Fluency in spoken and written French and English;
Resident in Switzerland or willing to relocate (this is mandatory and non-negotiable).
