Enterprise and data architecture management
- Lead the development and maintenance of the SMART architecture framework and principles.
- Define and document the SMART digital infrastructure architecture vision (functional, technical and data perspective), strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with the business strategy and objectives.

Data Management
- Define and deliver the data strategy roadmap for SMART.

- A key responsibility of this role is to ensure data protection, particularly with regard to intellectual property. Their effective enforcement must be embedded within the data architecture and flows, which are expected to uphold the compliance requirements defined by IEC and ISO stakeholders
Solution implementation
- Design and oversee the implementation of SMART solutions that support the business capabilities compatible with data quality, security, and performance requirements as defined by IEC and ISO.
- Propose rationalization and optimization plan to deliver current and future business capabilities (scalability) through shared, reuseable and scalable infrastructure approach.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Guide external consulting teams in the implementation of SMART solutions.
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to understand the current and future business capabilities, processes, and needs
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies and trends that can enhance the SMART architecture and business capabilities
Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years in a technical role leading solution design, architecture definition, and roadmap creation.
- Knowledgeable of IT Enterprise and Data architecture industry standard approaches
- Experience Cloud hyperscale's (such as AWS or Azure), graph database solutions, API frameworks, and distributed data stores.
- Solid working knowledge of relevant digital tools, curious about, able to learn, assimilate and understand the impacts of current and future technologies
- Strong knowledge and experience in business capabilities mapping, data modelling, and transformation
- Experience in artificial intelligence and ontology
- Strong knowledge of digital infrastructure design, cloud and software architecture.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in a complex, dynamic environment

Your new responsibilities Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer needs, analyze opportunities, and align solutions with customer strategies and requirements Lead technical risk assessments for complex, integrated, and non-standard projects to support management approvals Design secure and scalable edge-to-cloud solution architectures that address customer objectives and enable digital transformation Prepare and deliver value-based workshops to identify customer pain points, desired outcomes, and relevant use cases Support execution of complex solutions, including 3rd party integrations, custom developments, and non-standard technologies Calculate and validate customer ROI, and drive cost optimization through value engineering and IT/OT portfolio alignment Support and lead bids, tenders, PoCs, presentations, demos, exhibitions, and roadshows Monitor the progress of critical projects throughout their lifecycle and contribute directly to project execution when needed Build strong, collaborative relationships with regional leads, business partners, and internal teams to ensure alignment and monetization of support services Ensure every customer interaction is engaging, and value-driven, while promoting open communication and knowledge sharing across the team Collaborate with Bid Management and regional teams to develop proposals and ensure seamless project handover Your skills and experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field, with 10+ years of technical experience in enterprise environments, particularly in digital buildings and smart infrastructure Strong knowledge of smart building technologies, IoT platforms, and solution architectures - especially cloud-based and edge-to-cloud models Solid understanding of IT/OT integration, cybersecurity principles, and industry-standard communication protocols (including API/SDK) Proficiency in operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), databases (MS SQL, Oracle, MongoDB), high availability systems (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) Practical experience in delivering consulting services, including customer co-creation, design-thinking workshops, and use case development Experience in ROI validation, value engineering, and aligning solutions with customer KPIs and business outcomes Exposure to verticals such as datacenter, metros, healthcare, airports, commercial real estate, higher education, or smart cities is a strong advantage Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with geographically distributed teams Proactive, independent, and collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with internal and external stakeholders Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; knowledge of German or other European languages is a plus Location: qualified candidates need a valid work permit for the respective country.
