Our Perfumery plant in Geneva is looking for a:
**Trainee in Quality & Environmental Safety**
**For a 6 months assignment starting ideally as of September 2025.**
As part of the continuous improvement of our cleaning and quality practices, our site is looking to replace or optimize the use of ethanol for equipment cleaning. The objective is to ensure safe, efficient, and GMP-compliant procedures, while maintaining high product quality standards.
This internship aims to establish and validate a cleaning protocol that ensures GMP compliance and product quality, while reducing safety risks, limiting operator exposure, and integrating an environmentally responsible approach (e.g. solvent reduction, waste management).
You will work closely with cross-functional teams (Quality, HSE, Production, QC Laboratory) and participate in real-life testing and risk-based assessments.
**Job Responsibilities:**
+ Map the current cleaning process and practices on the shopfloor
+ Assess cleaning effectiveness and associated quality risks (e.g. residues, cross-contamination)
+ Evaluate safety and environmental risks (flammability, ATEX, emissions, waste)
+ Benchmark and test alternative cleaning methods
+ Draft and test alternative cleaning protocols in line with GMP requirements
+ Document cleaning validation results and present findings to key stakeholders
+ Support the QSHE in any other topics
**Pre-requisites**
+ Only students enrolled at a **fully** accredited MSc degree program with an internship agreement are welcome to apply
+ Only students who are Swiss, European or with a B Permit are welcome to apply
**Profile:**
+ Master student in QHSE, Process Engineering, Chemical, Cosmetics, Pharmaceutical, Food, or Fragrance industry
+ Strong interest in working on the shop floor in industrial environments, with a focus on quality validation, safety, and environmental topics
+ Knowledge of cleaning validation and risk assessment methods (e.g. HACCP, AZOP, FMEA)
+ Good understanding of GMP standards
+ Rigorous with an analytical mindset and strong observation skills
+ Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio; familiarity with tools like **Power BI** , **MATLAB** , or similar is a plus
+ Fluent in French; professional English is an asset
