Role Overview
The CFO will be a key strategic partner to the CEO and board, overseeing all aspects of financial management, reporting, and planning. This is a hands-on role suited for someone with a strong understanding of Swiss financial and regulatory frameworks and experience working with SaaS or tech-driven business models.
The services can be provided most remotely, however, regular face to face short meetings with the management are a must for the role. Therefore, only candidates leaving in Geneva or within reasonable travel distance from Geneva will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
· Maintain and update the existing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with Swiss GAAP and/or IFRS.
· Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling specific to SaaS metrics (MRR, ARR, CAC, LTV, churn, etc.).
· Ensure compliance with local Swiss tax, audit, and regulatory obligations.
· Liaise with external auditors and fiduciaries.
· Develop short- and long-term financial strategies aligned with business goals.
· Monitor cash flow, manage burn rate, and provide visibility on the runway.
· Track and report key SaaS financial indicators.
· Provide insight into performance trends and recommendations for optimization.
· Review customer contracts from a revenue recognition and invoicing standpoint.
· Support pricing, financial systems, and process automation improvements.
Bonus Point: candidates willing to have have hand-on execution of invoicing processes and general accounting will be offered more hours to conduct the tasks.
What We're Looking For
· Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance leader, a SaaS or tech company experience is a must.
· Strong understanding of Swiss financial reporting, tax, and compliance requirements.
· Familiarity with SaaS metrics, subscription models, and financial planning in a scaling environment.
· Fluency in English (German or French is a plus).

The Role
We are seeking an
all-round CFO

The CFO will have three mandates:
Enterprise Finance Leadership

of Kanvaz GmbH and its affiliated entities (Switzerland, Netherlands, and beyond). - Ensure compliance with Swiss corporate law and international tax standards (POEM, transfer pricing, IP structuring, cross-border management fees, etc.).
- Design and oversee
partner participation structures
(phantom pools, equity frameworks, tokenized dashboards). - Act as sparring partner for the Managing Partners on governance, board playbooks, and investor relations.
Kanvaz Ventures Oversight
- Co-shape the
venture investment thesis
around supply chain and AI tech. - Support due diligence, financial modelling, and portfolio company structuring.
- Represent Kanvaz in investor/family office discussions, bringing credibility and financial discipline.
- Ensure the Ventures platform is
integrated into the broader ecosystem
to maximize cross-pillar synergies.
Profile
- Swiss-based finance professional with proven CFO, finance director, or investment role experience.
- Background in
FMCG, Private Equity, or Supply Chain/Industrial sectors
