Il tuo profilo

  • Laurea in Informatica/Ingegneria o affini
  • Esperienza comprovata in ruoli IT, preferibilmente con responsabilità manageriali
  • Preferibile provenienza da settore bancario/finanziario
  • Dimestichezza con il sistema di gestione Microsoft SQL Server
  • Conoscenza dell'ambiente di sviluppo Visual C#
  • Conoscenza del software WinSCP
  • Ottima conoscenza della lingua inglese
  • Capacità di problem solving e comunicazione efficace

Mission

Main responsibilities

  • develop and implement IT governance frameworks and policies to ensure effective management and control of IT resources across the group;

The role

To support the Technology team in Switzerland, we are looking for a dynamic and motivated

IT Application Manager and Supporter as a permanent position. In this role, you will support the Chief Technology Officer on delivering e-channel and analytics/reporting solutions and strengthening the 1st level inhouse support. You will be working closely with the CTO to support the IT change and run the bank agenda.

You will report to the CTO. Your place of work will be Zurich. 

Your tasks
  • Driving the client e-channels (web banking and mobile applications) to the next level with our provider Netcetera and Finnova
  • Run the bank's analytics and reporting platform based on Qliksense / Apparo based on MS SQL server and implement optimizations / provide end-user support
  • Provide data feeder solutions to the bank's clients built on basis of Qliksense
  • Strengthen the 1st level inhouse support and partner-up with external vendors to deliver the IT value chain
  • Document and maintain the IT landscape (server infrastructure, applications) including vendor management
  • Facilitating data quality and availability 
Your profile
  • A minimum of three years of experience in the IT department of a bank. Preferably a smaller bank with a focus on Private Banking
  • A good knowledge and experience of e-channels and data (analytics) and reporting solutions with respective coding and database skills (e.g. SQL, MS SQL database)
  • Motivated, eager to learn with a self-starting mindset. Willing to take on increasing responsibilities over time
  • A team player with a positive personality and high integrity, who appreciates a dynamic and international environment
  • Excellent command of German and English (spoken and written); Dutch is a big plus
  • Resident in Switzerland (Zurich area)

Description:

The Data Center Manager is responsible for for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and security of the organization's data center. This role involves managing the data center's physical infrastructure, ensuring uptime, and overseeing a team of technicians and engineers. The IT Data Center Manager will work closely with IT leadership to implement strategies that support business goals while ensuring the highest levels of reliability, performance, and security.

The position ensures service provider quality by managing relevant services
through definition of KPIs, SLAs and associated measurements and reporting.
  • Operation, monitoring and maintenance of the data center components, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and security of IT/OT infrastructure.
  • Enable the Lonza Data Center standards globally and be responsible for regional DCs.
  • Act as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for any IT technical infrastructure related topics at the Visp site for external IT service providers and the central infrastructure team.
  • Engage as SPOC with local site mechanical service teams (electrical, facilities, fire, security, cooling, etc.) to maintain operational readiness of the data center facilities in Visp.
  • Assign and govern work to team of Data Center Operations staff.
  • Define the Data Center strategy globally and roadmap based on the needs of organization.
  • Define cabling and labeling standards with an installation concept & define type of cable
  • Develop and test the technical disaster recovery plan for the site and refresh it periodically.
  • Manage the life cycle of IT infrastructure assets and associated risks.
  • Plan and oversee data center expansions or migrations, including capacity planning and risk assessments.
  • Drive continuous improvements, standardization, and automation of infrastructure systems.
  • Maintain the consistency and maintainability of existing infrastructure environments through well-documented standards and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence with security and compliance policies and procedures within the IT infrastructure scope.
  • Monitor data center performance and troubleshoot issues, implementing solutions to optimize performance and minimize downtime.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in data center management, recommending improvements and innovations to enhance operations.

    Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling systems.
  • Advanced technical experience with VMware vSphere, Windows Server, Linux Server, Storage and Backup.
  • English Fluency and German required
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals.
  • Experience leading data center projects, including expansions, migrations, and upgrades, with strong project management skills.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to data center operations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP), Certified Data Center Management Professional (CDCMP) are a plus.
  • Knowledge of security hardening and best practices.
  • Proven experience with simplification and standardization of infrastructure.
  • Ability to drive cultural and technological disruption.
  • Ability to anticipate risks and devise solutions in the moment
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or other regulated industries.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
