What does a typical week look like at Summit?

As an experienced recruiter you'll know that no two weeks are exactly the same but we would expect that you would do a mixture of candidate sourcing/delivery and business development/client relationship work.

We have an established client base for you to come in and deliver to, so from the start we would expect that might make up 80% candidate sourcing and 20% client relationship or business development. We are a big believer in personal contact, so we like to meet with clients in person and it would be expected that over time you build up spend (on average) approx. 10-20% of your time out meeting clients.

We don't work on any high-volume portal accounts, we focus on clients who we can meet and build relationships with. So if you are currently delivering to MSP's you can expect less volume, but higher delivery ratios/quality of positions/information. For example for the past 5+ years we've averaged 60%+ CV : Interview Ratio every year.

Finding good candidates for tough to fill positions is the biggest challenge (that is why we are needed in the first place) so candidate sourcing and delivery will be expected to make up the biggest amount of your time. Therefore, you should be the kind of person that enjoys candidate searching, headhunting, contacting, screening and so on. The typical position we work on is not just posting an advert and filtering what comes in.

Our approach to KPI's is that they are important on a fundamental level to ensure long term success but that they should never get in the way of common sense and business needs.

Being a small team each week, you also get the chance to exchange ideas with the team across a range of topics and contribute.

What are we looking for?

  • Firstly, and most importantly, a great attitude. Working as part of a small team it's important to us that we have the right team fit
  • English language skills (at least B2/C1 level – fluent preferred)
  • German language skills are a big advantage
  • Experience working as a recruiter, ideally within the IT market, but we are open to people who have worked in other sectors too.
  • Proactivity/Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Someone who enjoys communicating to candidates/clients in person and on the phone and views this as your preferred method of communication whenever something is unclear, rather than sending a message/email and waiting for a reply. Time kills deals
  • Someone who asks questions and does not accept things at face value
  • Someone who is keen to learn and develop their personal skill set and always looking to improve
  • Experience of both candidate sourcing and client relationship work - preferred

  • Demonstrate a proven track record in managing large-scale organizations and leading transformation programs.
  • Possess deep expertise in industrial IT/OT environments and global production support.
  • Have a strong background in IT governance, cybersecurity, and enterprise architecture.
  • Are skilled in implementing hybrid cloud infrastructures, ITIL frameworks, and digitalization initiatives.
  • Have experience in leading IT crisis teams and building cyber incident response capabilities.
  • Are well versed in modern data analytics and artificial intelligence technologies and trends.
  • Bring extensive experience in international companies with distributed entities and global operations.
  • Understand manufacturing processes and business operations, and know how to align digital strategies with business goals.
  • Collaborate confidently with executive leadership, CIOs, and cross-functional teams.
  • Communicate fluently in English and German.
